A Longing for Presence

Christmas is often about longing; there is a desire for something sentimental, or relational, something to recapture, to cling to. The prophet Isaiah knows a bit about longing: longing for a righteous king, longing for things to be set right. Using Isaiah as our guide, we talk about our longing for presence in a lonely society.
