Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus coming into Jerusalem in a stately fashion, as a king. But he didn't meet the expectations of the crowd, who were hoping for an overthrowing of Roman rule. Sometimes our expectations of God are unrealized. This leads to disappointment. Palm Sunday, though, reminds us that with God, we can expected the unexpected. His ways are not our ways.
