There's something powerful about sitting down together over a warm bowl of soup. Throughout history, community meals have been one of the oldest ways humans build connection — sharing food breaks down barriers, eases loneliness, and reminds us that we belong to something bigger than ourselves.

That's exactly what Soup Saturday is all about. Every second Saturday of the month, from 12 to 2pm, we gather at Emmanuel Church to share delicious soup and buns together — followed by treats and coffee. No agenda. No program. Just good food, good people, and good conversation. But here's the thing — the best part of Soup Saturday isn't just the soup. It's the person sitting across from you. And that empty seat next to you? That's an invitation waiting to happen. Think of someone in your life who could use a warm meal and a friendly face — a neighbour, a coworker, a friend you've been meaning to catch up with. Bring them.

Our next Soup Saturday is March 14th, from 12 to 2pm at Emmanuel Church. It's completely free. Come hungry. Come with someone. And let's fill every seat at the table.
