MIssion is everywhere, and there are many ways to be on mission right here at home. Here are a few activities we participate in throughout the year.
Each year we challenge our congregation to submit Christmas boxes of love to help children globally, and we collect socks and hampers for those in need here in our own neighbourhood.
Once a month we make soup for anyone who is looking for community and a bite to eat. On these days we also provide dozens of meals to deliver to people in our community.
ERDO is a Christian organization that provides emergency relief all over the world by responding to people in crisis. We will sometimes highlight their projects and encourage people to give.
This program exists to assist smaller churches with purchasing property or doing construction or renovations of church buildings. Many people donating small amounts of money can go a long way in helping churches across our district! You can find out more here.
Although there are many child-sponsorship programs that we can be involved in, we have worked often with Compassion to provide sponsorships for children in all regions of the world.
We do our best each year to provide the funds to purchase turkeys for our local foodbank Christmas hampers.
